The association bodies
For the fulfilment of its goals, as stated in its Articles, the Association was instituted with the following governing bodies: a General Meeting, a Board of Directors and a President.
The President
Gianni Chianetta, M.En.
After graduating in Management Engineering in Palermo in ’97, and an additional two-year experience in London at the Middlesex University as part of the Erasmus Project, Gianni Chianetta started his career as Sales Manager for Northern Italy and Foreign Countries with the Sicilian DB Group.
He moved to Milan in May’98, where he managed the “Euro and Year 2000” project on behalf of the American Warner Lambert group.
In 2000, he attended a Master Course in “Marketing & Sales Management” at the Milan Istituto Superiore di Comunicazione and concurrently served as Lombardy Area Manager for GFO Europe.
In 2001, he started collaborating with the science page of the daily Il Giornale. 2002 was the year when his career as freelance started; on that same year, he taught Marketing at the Catania Master School and collaborated with Marketing Partners and AdMil Industria as Marketing and Communication consultant.
From 2003 to 2007, on behalf of BP Italia, he worked as Communication and External Relations Manager and as Development Manager of BP Solar in Italy. He has more recently been appointed Managing Director of BP Solar Italia.
After actively participating, on behalf of BP, in the drafting of the first Photovoltaic Power Production Incentive Scheme known as “conto energia”, in September 2006 – in association with other representatives from leading photovoltaic companies – he founded the first Italian Solar Photovoltaic Industry Association, Assosolare, where he was elected president. Assosolare is now a member of Confindustria Energia (the Italian Energy Industry Confederation).
